custom commands in mouse and keybord center not working

I have a new 5 button mouse and i tried to make special commands for side buttons (deafult is browser forward/browser back). I set the new commands (undo/redo) in mouse and keybord center. However the buttons still do their deafult commands. I have the latest version of mouse and command center and i updated the computer.
