Terminal Services Client for W2k

grep

I've got a client who wants to run the TS client from his W2k
workstation. I can't remember the name of the executable anymore. Can
anyone remind me?

I think the executable name you are looking for is MSTSC.EXE.

If you're looking to get it - then it's probably this link
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/tools/rdclientdl.mspx

Thanks,
Jon

No - mstsc.exe is for WinXP. I'm looking for the one for W2k.

Here's the 5.1.2600.2180 version of the client, which is supported
on Windows 2000 Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows ME Windows NT.

A W2K Terminal Server has the 5.0 client, in C:\WINDOWS\system32
\clients\tsclient.
But that version is now *very* old and has lots of known issues.

Why people continually argue with the help they receive instead of actually
following the advice, I will never understand.

Instead of arguing with the response, you could have downloaded it and
installed it from the link that Jon Wallace provided, then found out that
the executable created after the installation is indeed named "mstsc.exe."

You will get better help if you take the time to research the answers you
are given, then politely respond if they are incorrect. Jon's answer was
right on the money and totally accurate.
