OBJINFO.XML

I know this question does not belong in this group and I already posted it
in an other group but here is the only place I always get answers. How can I
convert an nonmedia.xml file to an OBJINFO.XML file?

Also what does this file mean with what is it different then a regular xml
file?

Your question as stated doesn't really make much sense to me.

But anyway, here is a sample OBJINFO.XML file:
http://store.yahoo.com/ygear-test/objinfo.xml

Info about the structure of the above file:
http://www.yahooapis.com/stores/V1/objinfo.html

To answer your question, I guess you could analyse your "nonmedia.xml"
file, whatever that is, and then import the relevant fields by hand
into an objinfo.xml template.

I'm assuming that your particular objinfo.xml file is of the same type
as the above example. It may help if you were to upload some sample
files to your web space so that others may confirm whether this is the
case, or to at least understand what you are talking about.

I guess I should explain my problem better I downloaded my product feed from
yahoo but it is not in an Excel form and I am trying to convert it to Excel.
on top of the feed it says the " <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"
?> ". Maybe this has something to do with it?

Why do you need to convert it to Excel format? Why not use it in the XML
format?

I don't know that is what pricegrabber is telling me.Also I think they need
it in text too.

It appears that you are downloading the file rather than displaying it in
your browser. If you simply want to view it, then open it in the browser,
or in any of the available XML viewers.

To get it in text, display it and then cut and paste the text.

If you want to convert it to some other form, then I guess your choice of
converter depends on how you need to manipulate it after its converted.
