Re: "Convert" NTFS to FAT32 after Saving HDD Contents

Hi,

I do have a very good reason for doing this, in order to access the HDD
contents without launching WinXP, using a bootable CD rom (created using a
bootable floppy disk on a Windows 98 computer).

Why would I want to access the HDD without Windows "running"? For
matters of security (out of "reach" of all types of spyware) in order to view
(and/or edit) sensitive personal information that is scrambled/encrypted. The
program I use will not run unless in real Dos mode. A NTFS HDD is not
accessible after booting via bootable CD rom.

However, you may know something that I don't know regarding access to the
NTFS HDD without WinXP "running"?

Brad

Dear Brad, use "BartPE" instead, you can boot from a CD with it, and
you will have full access to your NTFS disk from it.

Much better and safer. It is free, do a Google search to find its
homepage to download it.
