That sounds like Linux alright!!
Of course the Linux stalwarts will claim Linux never crashes and that Linux
is perfect.

You don't do anything with your computer, Just FYI

That is because you don't do anything with your computer so it can't lock
up.

All you do is install Ubuntu. Install Windows 2008 Server. Install Windows
Vista. Install Vista SP1, Install Ubuntu.

Rinse and Repeat.

There is no possible way that your computer can lock up. No possible way.
You just can't and don't do anything with your computers.

Moshe,
One difference between Linux and Microsoft or Mac, is that Linux has
several versions of the same product.

If you installed a beta version, then of course, you are part of the
group testing that version or that update.

If you chose a stable version then it should work on your computer
without crashing.

if it is crashing, I would think that there is a strong strong
possibility that your computer has a memory fault problem. First run
the memtest program if you are trying linux for the first time. It
will test the memory and let you know if it passes, or if it needs
replacing.

Microsoft does checking for a select group of testers. They know they
are testing a new feature. Microsoft also has a testing laboratory, or
a group of testers at various manufacturers.

So before complaining about freezing, check your computer hardware.
Report to us your success. By the way, Microsoft XP will not test that
the hardware is ok.
