I have installed Ubuntu and tried it out for a few days about 6 months ago.
What a piece of crap. I'm sure there is nothing new in the latest release.
The OpenSores Office product takes one back about 10 years in functionality
and the GUI looks like it needs to be polished. The GUI is also about 10
years old.

Thanks for the post.

They do have a nice picture of Alias at the keyboard (first picture)

It's changed considerably since then, unlike Vista.

Got some empirical proof or only your ill informed opinion?

Don't bet your sweet ass on that.

My GUI doesn't look at all like the default. Unlike Vista, Ubuntu's
desktop can be configured in many ways.

It looks better than Vista and XP.

Yep, when the MS fanboys run out of empirical proof, they always rely on
insults and lies.

I have been trying this Vista for the last six months or so and still
wondering how anyone can make a crap OS like this.

Considering the insults you hurl, this was tame.

With Vista, MS makes money and the hard ware/OEM companies make money.
Consumers lose but, what the hell, two out of three ain't bad, right?

Um, that isn't put out by Ubuntu but Sun. MS Office is prettier but for
almost one thousand dollars, it better be pretty.

I don't usually hurl any insults. Occasionally -- like twice -- I have
hurled some over the top insults but compared to you, Frank, Spanky and
the gang, I'm a bloody saint and I never use insults and lies to back
pedal my way out of a debate like you just did.

I wasn't trying to get out of it at all. Most of us think that you should
not post here and you think you should post here. Expect insults.

How do consumers lose if they get to use the products they pay for? I use
XP most of the time, everything works. I use Vista sometimes and for me,
everything I use on Vista, it works. Of course people will have trouble
with XP, Vista, and even your Ubuntu.

Just think how screwed up computing would be if there was only Linux. There
would be no reason to make a GUI and try to compete with MS. We would still
be using line commands. YUK.

It has nothing to do with censorship. It has to do with being considerate.
This is a Vista group and MOST people don't want to hear about Ubuntu.
Plain and simple. You can and probably will continue to post crap about
moving to Ubuntu but should you do it?

That is why you should expect insults. Most insults don't come from me.
Some do but hey, you deserve it.

You're out of your sheep-fukkin mind! Face it pal, you're stuck using
and defending that POS toy os in an MS/Vista ng. Ever wonder just how
out of touch that scene is?
You're fringe person using a fringe os...nothing the masses will ever use.
Live with it loser.
