PC helper utility

[Korvet]

I want help person to solve PC problems, remotely, so I need first know all
PC configuration. Person is very non techie, and can no provide me any info
about its hardware and software configuration. I know only PC is win 98. So
I'm just wondering is there some standalone exe that when run will collect
all hardware and software installed and save report in text file on desktop.
I mean *standalone* exe that does not require installation and even has no
GUI (foolproof application). Or, even better, VBScript that do this work.
Person dont know how to get system configuration info.

MSINFO32.EXE is part of Win98 and has this function.

be the best one for your described use.
