Did the one on the 4th include a new Download Manager? I check every day
and there was nothing yesterday and there is today.

I don't drink alcohol.

Just checked again (4 pm EST) and nothing.

Too bad. A glass of white wine would go down smoothly at the moment.
(G) And I was just teasing you, Mr. Alias!!

Heirloom

I got the update Alias was referring to......they probably have it filtered
so as not to get into the "wrong hands."
Heirloom, old and up-to-date

This update must be for the new version, Alias.
There are no updates for ME.

P.S.: Maybe a tiny glass of something might help, Alias.

One of the annoying features of the new Ad-Aware is that when you click
on Updates, it does not reply that you have the most recent definitions.

That's why I said a tiny glass of "something", Alias.
Take your pick from what's permissible, there must be "something" you can
tolerate, lol.

Nothing alcoholic is permissible.

Hello again heather, i see you traded in donuts for alkee-hole.

(na, just kidding ya.)
gotta admit, this particular thread is full of people who havent got
a clue what the 'after-life' is....... if they did, they wouldnt write
it like that. (99.999999% of ppl dont understand what is after the
depletion of the body they were given to use while roaming this
planet.......... and thats why they joke about it, ... it relieves
fear.)

Anyway girl, just wondering if you can help in my 3D world for a sec..
My Adaware wont let me d/l updates. It gets to 5% then shouts "error".
I've d/l'ed them manually, but when trying it via adaware, tis always
the same error.
I went to Adawares site, but it seems i'd have to join a forum in order
to post a question, adaware didnt have a 'contact-us' link that I saw.
Forums to me always seem too slow and over-rated, hence why i choose
newsgroups.

Anyhow, I posted in this thread just because it had an open discussion
on adaware, and I know this group constantly monitors adawares updates
as well as spybots, and hence quite a few here know more than the average
joe about those two utilities.
(but i cant believe i am posting to this group so soon again.)

Two possibilities Jeanette - either the servers may be playing-up (but they
*usually* right themselves by the next day) or you *may* have a corrupted
(Ad-Aware) file somewhere.

Probably the easiest course of action is to uninstall Ad-Aware and then
re-install it.
IIRC, it has been a solution to this and similar issues with Ad-Aware over
the past few years.

I only have one liver and, at this point, I have to be strict. Sad to
say, I'm afraid, especially with the superb Rioja wine available here.

I fully sympathize with you, Alias.
This may be an appropriate time to tune in to jeanette and her proposed
theory for the "after life"? I didn't notice it ever to have been a subject
here, but if it was, it may need reviving.

I believe in reincarnation, that nothing can be created or destroyed in
this universe only the form can change.

I call that: "short and sweet".
But it doesn't involve a 'Creator'.
And that is the entity which was, is and will be, forever.
How we deal with this fact, will determine our "after life".
