I understand that you are upset, but your post is extremely unclear. Please
post back with clarification:

1. What operating system, version, and service pack level you are running
(eg. Windows XP Home Service Pack 2)
2. What antivirus you have installed - name and version (eg. Norton
Antivirus 2008)
3. What exactly "crashed" means. Remember we can't see your computer.
4. Where and when you get the error message and its *exact* text.
5. What make/model computer you have.
6. If this is a standalone home computer, part of an office Workgroup, or
part of an office domain.

Answer these questions calmly and clearly so we can help you.

Is there a phone number which you are supposed to call to "activate" the
computer? If so, you've been infected with one of the "ransomware" viruses.
Do you know what you did just before this appeared? Did anyone else have
access to your computer?

Without being able to see the machine and with incomplete information, it
will be hard to untangle this. If it were in the shop, I'd try these steps:

1. Attempt to boot into Safe Mode.

2. If Safe Mode didn't work, I'd boot with a rescue system like a Bart's PE
or ERD Commander (expensive and now discontinued) to see what was
happening.

3. If repairs weren't possible, I'd pull off the data with method 2 (or by
using a Linux Live CD) and clean-install Windows. Use the recovery disks
that came with your computer (or which you made) instead of F10. If you
neglected to create recovery disks, you can order them from Compaq/HP.

You know your skill level best. If you have the resources and skill to do
any of the above but would like more details, let me know. Otherwise,
consider taking the machine to a local professional. I don't recommend
using a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.
