File/Folder permissions

Hello,

Is it possible to give access to view/change permissions (on files and
folders)without giving access to open and read documents but while being able
to traverse the entire folder structure?

any help is appreciated.

Not sure I understand what you are asking.

- When you say "view" --> do you actually mean 'list'?
- When you say "change" --> do you actually mean copy/move (rearrange)?

Because if you do not - view and read would be considered the same thing.
And in order to change the contents of a document - one must be able to open
it.

Please describe - in excruciating detail - what it is you are tring to
accomplish and why - that will help anyone reading this in answering you.

Thanks for the reply

Basically I want IT Support to be able to traverse through the folder
structure and amend the access permissions for users (in the Security tab) on
files and folders without being able to open any documents, I have tried
setting this in Special Permissions but they can only change peoples
permissions if they have Read access aswell.

I hope that makes more sense.
