Studying for MCSE...need help with this one.
OK Local GP's applied then SDOU...got it.
RSOP... Resultant set...
Now if Local GPO is applied, and clearly it is, why doesn't RSOP show the
effects of the Local GP?
Symptom: e.g. I assing an IPSEC policy on a server locally. GPEDIT shows
it's there, IpSecMon shows its there, the policy is working according to
network access tests. But using RSOP...no IPSEC policies to be found.
Doesn't seem to be well documented... but RSOP apparently does not show the
effects of the local GPO. Why not? This would seem to be useful info in the
RSOP info, no?
I'm only getting domain-based GP info in my RSOP display. This is
apparently true of all Local policies, not just IpSec. Is there some way to
include the local info? Or is there some reason that Local GPO info is not
desirable in RSOP info? Would love to understand this.
Preshate help for the newbie.
