Franc, MEB et al:Epson printer on win98se update

Just thought I would let you guys know how the CX5500 Epson was going. No
further problems, except one dialogue-box about a day after the printer
started working. It was a "windows has detected new hardware and is
searching for a driver". I clicked it off the screen, and no further
problems. Has been printing for weeks OK.

We're glad it worked out for you.
The "new hardware issue" may have been a minor installation blip. IF you
had continued it would have shown what it thought it needed so it could have
been reviewed. Did you check in Device Manager for any unknown devices?
Another might be to start in Safe Mode and check there for old, unknown, or
ghost entries.
