recycle bin folder

[Linda in Iowa]

the recycle bin folder is missing. How do I get it back? Reinstall
windowsme?
Where does the recycle bin exist other than the desktop icon?

Your recycle bin may be damaged so you might try this.

Bootup using the "Windows Startup Disk"
Select #4
At the A:\ prompt,
type the following lines,
and press <enter> after each.

ATTRIB -S -R -H C:\RECYCLED
DELTREE /Y C:\RECYCLED

Note the <space> between B & -, S & -, R & -, H & C, E & /, and Y & C.

Remove the floppy disk and press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot
This will repair it.
