Rod

Win98se
I used winzip for years till an MVP
suggested I needed to pay for it to retain it.
I then used free Zip central, however I cannot remove
winzip or another zip program I tried from
the drop down box.

I have removed the program from add/remove.
how may I unclutter the dd box?

Thanks for any assistance.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the question: are you referring to the right
click menu in explorer?

Remove Winzip Explorer context menu commands from within WinZip.
It will vary according to the version but on the one I have (V9) it is
Winzip-Options-Configuration-Explorer Enhancements

The other program (12-Zip from 12 Ghosts?) I believe also has options
to remove context menu commands.

You will obviously have to reinstall them to do this.
If you don't want to do that, then you need to remove the Registry
keys or use another 3rd party context menu application to remove them.

I may (?) be able to supply the Registry keys if you let me know the
versions you installed.
