Security padlock on internet explorer page. Why?

I'm trying to log into aol.com and am receiving an error message and the
address bar has a padlock. I don't think I changed anything on my computer
and I just want to know how to unblock the webpage. I can access everything
else but aol.

Help please.

I'm not sure which IE version I have but the Windows version is Vista.

This is the error message:

The service you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable - please try
your request again..

but, I don't think that's the problem. There is a red key to the left of
the address bar and a yellow padlock to the right.

Have you contacted AOL? The problem may be on there side and not on your side.

You're running IE7 in Vista.

Run Windows Update manually | Look for an Optional "Root Certificates"
update & install it.
