Picture viewer in ME

Nicdig

In my windows XP pc, I like using the windows fax viewer.... But i dont like
the one that is in my other pc that has ME OS. That is because when i want
to view a picture, it opens up with 'Image preview" fine but there is no
command for me to move on to the next picture. In order for me to see more
pictures, i need to "x" out of them and click on another one...one by one.
I have tried to look to see if an arrow is somewhere in the viewer so as to
let me go to the next pic by simply clicking on the arrow but i dont see
one.
thanks in advance

I'm unclear what you are asking. What you describe is how Image Preview
works in Win Me. If you want your image viewer to act differently you
have two possible solutions, either move on to XP (or Vista) and use that
instead of Win Me or download and install a third party viewer that has
the characteristics you are looking for.

Remember XP was released after Win Me and includes changes that were
suggested during the testing of Win Me. I can't say whether the change
you want was one of those, it may well be, certainly many of the
improvements in XP's system restore were a result of feedback made during
beta testing of Win Me.

Hi Mike,
Ok i think i understand now. In order to have the windows & fax viewer that
I normally use in my other pc (xp) then I would have to upgrade the entire
OS of my ME to XP. I actually thought that I can just download the windows
viewer at their website.
So, i now ask if anyone recommends a simple viewer that will work with ME.
DOnt need any editing or fancy features. Just need (arrow to move forward
or backward to the next picture simply by pushing a button, a rotater ,zoom,
and maybe a couple more. Thats it. The image viewer now in my ME machine
does rotating, and zooming only. It does not let me move on to another
picture in the same area UNLESS I "x" out and double click on another to
view.
thanks

Not a total solution, but you could just go to "My Pictures" and choose to
view as a slide show.
