Since the release of Windows Server 2003, I never have been able to get some
result by using Dskprobe 2 v.10, the one included in WS2003 Support Tools.
Up to the present, with the last release of Support Tools for WS2003R2 SP2,
Dskprobe.exe has never been changed, I noted.
Every time I tried to use it on IDE or SATA disks, dskprobe always gave me
the same error condition:
Physical Volumes -> Open Handle -> Read Sectors , no matter which starting
sector I choose, I always get the popup error "The Parameter is incorrect"
and the requested operation fails.
Am I missing some trick ?
I wonder that the version of Dskprobe2 released with WS2003 SP2 Support
Tools still is "UI Preview 1.0" dated 1999 !!
Anybody can help me ?
Thanks in advance.
