Okay.
I installed an update this past thurs or friday, June 28/29.. This included
an update to nVidia.
I use my computer as a Media Center PC hooked up to my TV... Well I went out
of town and turned the computer off. I did not notice any problems. Sunday,
I noticed that the computer shut off on it's own while I was out of the room.
It did not shut down. Just completely shut off.
Well I restarted and everything was fine until tonight. While using Media
Center, the blue screen of death came up and said a ton of stuff that I
couldn't read except nvstor.sys... I restart the computer and everything
seems fine.. then 15 mins later... the same thing happens...
So... I restart in safe mode and go back to a restore point of Wed June 26.
Before the nVidia update. Everything restarts and looks fine then about 30
mins later.. another blue screen! I have NO idea what is going on or how to
fix this. I really don't want to have to reformat. Anyone have any
suggestions? My pc is a custom built one from Cyberpower PC... It has a
warrenty, but I would like to try and fix it myself befor resorting to
mailing and shipping it off.
Thanks for any and all help.
