Win 2003 server client read write slow

hi

I have a win server 2003 standard x64 edn. win xp clients(32 bit)
accessing this server from certain switch ports are very slow. But
these clients performance with other server sand between clients are
fine.
the hdd in this server is mirrored.And in the system tray its showing
the sata hdd as safely remove USB device.
pls help me...
