Random Sounds

Every few minutes my computer makes some random sounds. Does anyone know what does this and how to get rid of it??

Each instance of the sounds lasts for about one second. One example is a
train and another is a railroad locomotive.

Did you continue to run the full scan after the very brief Nanoscan check?
If not, perhaps you should do so.

An alternative would be one of the other proprietary on-line scans such as
TrendMicro or Kaspersky.

You also didn't mention the souce of the sounds you hear. Are they from the
'box' itself ........ or from your loudspeakers?

I ran AVG the free anti virus package and that seems to have fixed the
problem.
