Problem in opening files with extension ".ini"

L

lokee

Hello,

I am unable to open any file with extension".ini"
If I create any text file, type some text and save it with extension ".ini"
and try to open it using notepad (or by double clicking), it gives following
messege:

"The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect"

But same file opens properly if I try to open using "Wordpad".

What is wrong ? Is there any problem with Notepad setting ?

I use windows XP professional, version2002, Service pack 2.

Please reply.

Thanks in advance.

You may get an answer, but this is a 'WINME' specific news group.

You really don't have a problem. Use search then *.ini to show all .ini
files. Select any one or the one you created. The default opening is probably
Notepad. If you want to open with Wordpad choose that as your "open with"
option.
