5GBs free space decrease after important updates in Windows 8. Is it normal?

I've installed Windows 8 from DVD packed with new laptop. After that, checked windows updates. It said, around 35 important updates are to be installed in size of 500MB.

 

After installing all updates free disk space decreased 5GB! It's too much, I think.

 

I've run disk cleanup cleaning unnecessaty update files but only few hundred MBs were released.

 

The folder C:Winndows biw comprises 19.2GB.

 

Were there updates in size of 5GB really or how can I free up unnecessarily consumed disk space?
