Windows 8 upgrades Norton 360. Compatibility issue. cannot uninstall Norton locked. any help

Windows upgrades installed, froze Norton 360 so cannot UNINSTALL Norton. Only WINDOWS FIREWALL APPEARS TO BE ON. Cannot access internet either with Bing or Internet Explorer. but get Email from aol??? How to fix?
