Administrators AWS Posted March 4, 2013 Administrators Posted March 4, 2013 Hi. For various reasons I had to format and reinstall windows on my lenovo think W520 laptop. I have its activation key, but I don't have any sort of recovery disk. I have a retail windows 7 HP disk that I used for my desktop, but installing with that won't let me activate with the laptop's key. And naturally the key that came with the disk is in use. How do I find an install disk that will work with the key provided with the laptop? (As far as I can tell, lenovo's website's software all assumes you have something to recover in my case the disk is formatted and AFAIK there's nothing to use to recover.) View the thread Quote
