32 bit and 64 bit on different systems

I bought a copy of win 7 home premium last year and installed the 32 bit version on this current system I'm using. My question is that I'm building a new system that I want to run 64 bit on, can I use the same product key? I read you can use the key for

up to 3 different systems but do they all have to be the same bit version?
