Windows updates causing No Repsonse on all Office products

I don't normally install optional updates, but a couple of days ago I did. I updated Windows 7 with the following optional updates:

KB2709981

KB2574819

KB2592687

Since then none of my Office products work, except Outlook (sometimes). Each one will open, but as soon as I try to open or create a file , they die "Not Responding."

 

I have tried to unistall the updates from the Control Panel, but nothing happens. The status bar remains empty.

I have tried loading the Microsoft Fix It for Windows, but it has been running for over a half hour now detecting problems and detecting additional problems, but not sure its accomplished anything yet.
