Since he last update on March 14, something's wrong with buttons in Modern UI apps.

The picture in the link will show you how it looks like.

Let me tell you what happened.

When I got the last Windows Updates (let me call this WU later) along with firmware updates for my Surface Pro on March 14, I restarted as soon as I saw the WU notification without logging in to the Windows. But I didn't have Internet connection at that

time. In the LAN system I am using now, the system times out regularly and I have to log in to the Internet in order to maintain connection, which means that I have to log in to the Windows to use the IE for a web log in.

Anyway, the PC restarted very fast, of course without downloading or installing no or only a part of the updates

After this, I noticed that the WU were not correctly installed and that the something is wrong with the icons. So, I logged in to Windows, logged in to the LAN, successfully connected to the Internet and re-installed the WU.

So, here's my questions.

Can installing WU without Internet connection can cause this problem? Is something else is involved? Or WU itself caused this problem regardless to the Internet connectivity?

How can I fix it? Will the next WU fix it? Do I have to reset or recover my PC?

Thanks in advance,

Tomoki
