How do I rotate photo taken on Ipad when showing it on computer screen. The arrows at the bottom of

I have connected from Photostream on Ipad to laptop in order to look at photos taken on larger screen. Some of the photos are upside down and I cannot rotate them as arrows for rotation at bottom of screen not lit up. Any answers ? View the thread
