Windows update always fails

Hi,Problem with windows update, it always fails then takes forever to rollback the update, I have tried the other common answers, install updates one at a time, disable virus scanners etc, none of them work. Tried to contact Microsoft support and typically they

want to be rip-off merchants and charge you to fix a fault with their product, so I am not entertaining that. I am basically fed up now and just want this crappy OS to stop wasting my time.Any help appreciated thanks
