Re installing windows 7 using a flash drive on a new hard drive

I have an acer aspire one net book that came with windows 7 home premium preloaded in it. But my hard drive crashed and is not connecting when i start the computer. It shows the message PXE M0F. After some research i found out that i need to replace the

hard drive. But my warranty is over and so i cannot send it in. I went ahead and bought a new hard drive and decided to install it my self. But the problem is that i don't know how to install the os on the new hard drive. I was wondering if there is a way

i can use the serial number under my laptop to activate windows. And if i can then where can i get an iso image to make a bootable flash drive?
