"WindowsUpdate_80080005" "WindowsUpdate_dt000" ERROR message. I can't update my Windows Vista softw

I am unable to update my Windows Vista (2008 HP dv6250 Pavillion Entertainment laptop).

 

I tried to download and run the 2006 version of check for updates, but still get the same

 

Error message: Windows Update 80080005

 

Please advise how to repair this function so I can be sure that my operating system receives Windows updates regularly, or as needed.
