Administrators AWS Posted March 22, 2013 Administrators Posted March 22, 2013 I'm trying to update my Windows 8 pro EN x64 with no luck. Pending queue looks like this: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2809289) Security Update for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2797052) Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (KB2789650) Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (KB2789649) Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2778344) Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2790655) Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2799494) Security Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2807986) Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2824670) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2781197) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2790907) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2794599) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2795944) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2811660) Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2812822) Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 x64-based Systems - March 2013 (KB890830) After everything is download and installed computer restarts but instead of displaying anything it only flickers two differents kind of black. It looks similar to problem described on nvidia website http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3170 (I have samsung r780 with nvidia 330m) I thus tried solution from the site but it didn't work. I've also tried and removed all drives for the graphic card and rolled back system driver (in safe mode!) and then tried to update with the same result - flickering screen. In addition to that I disabled automatic driver update/installation but after windows stars it install default driver for the graphic card. The only solution after the flickering occurs is to restore last good configuration. How can I get back working Windows Update?! (preferably without refreshing/reinstalling whole OS as I will probably stick with not working WU than having to reinstall whole OS) PS. The same thing happend when I first installed windows and tried WU with relatively fresh installation (about January, week after the install). View this thread
