Administrators AWS Posted March 25, 2013 Administrators Posted March 25, 2013 Hello everybody, I was very much surprised when my newer HP "P"series desktop w/W7 premium/64 bits had to go in for a checkup due to booting up problems, & they discovered & removed 19 infections! I have W7 SP1 Essentials, auto update & use common sense when surfing, which evidently isn't enough. I hate being enslaved to a annual fee for the usual anti-malware software, such as Norton or Kaspersky. I have read that Essentials does not play well with others, however I do need something extra (preferably free!) "Malawarebytes" has always proven to be useful in the past. Would it clash w/Essentials? If so, is there anything else out there that would give me a little thicker defense? Thanks kindly, ovenmaker View the thread Quote
