Unable to uninstall KB2670838, system restore also not an option - can I do anything more?

I am also experiencing the loss of aero and issues in games (ex. green highlights in BF3) likely related to critical update KB2670838. I have attempted to uninstall the update using control panel (without IE 10 installed), but receive an error. System

restore is also not an option. Is there more I can do to remove the update?
