After loading Updates on, 4/11/2013 my Surface is slow to resume after sleeping. Investigation of event viewer reveals error Event ID 41 Kernel-Power, The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.

This happens 100% of the time resuming from sleep.Update, uninstalled all updates done on 4/11. Issue still exists. During uninstall of updates device would hang on "configuring windows, do now power off". Eventually I would power off and then it would boot back up. Immediately doing a restart bypassed

further "configuring do not power off messages" until the next update uninstall that required a reboot.Further update:Attempted to reinstall all updates one by one, for some reason even though I had only one update checked - ALL updates loaded (cleanly without issue). One more piece to the puzzle - possibly unrelated. During this process I noticed that there was a error Event ID 45 related to UEFI firmware and the device was being disabled. I rolled back the driver to get around that. During the re-install of updates,

this driver also re-updated and is now working properly.Once all updates loaded and the system restarted I did a shutdown then power up.Then I tried "sleep" and all seems to be working properly now. No more error 41.
