rebuild windows update

I've been at this for almost two weeks, trying fixes and solutions that is. but I believe I can see some daylight and a ray of hope.

 

So here goes: I am bogged down with this laundry list, ten + items and I need help using them in order so as to avoid bigger problems.

 

A....main error: 0x8000FFFF windows updates, installed files haven't kept pace since Mar. 23rd (2013) or near that date.

 

B....rebuild windows update database

C....restart windows update services

D....update components are configured incorrectly

E....there is a recurring problem with BITS

F....windows update default data locations s
