Windows activation - laptop sticker ?!

I bought a laptop from HP and I have on it windows 7 home premium installed with no CD/DVD .... then the windows and recovery system crashed ... I have a product key sticker at the bottom of my laptop ... could I activate any windows 7 version (Ultimate-Home

Premium) with it or no ? if yes how?
