Update window does not automatically close after finish updating.

I updated my Windows XP from Internet Explorer. When finished installing, the update window did not automatically close itself. It only says "Update 20 of 20 (done)" and the only option is to close by "X" or "Cancel" on the bottom right corner of the window.

I clicked "X" but nothing happened so I tried "Cancel" but it only says cancelling and because I tired of waiting, I forcefully close the Internet Explorer through Task Manager.How can I fix this?Thank you.
