Guest Engel Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 If this is a retail product, try SFC /SCANNOW Run System File Checker This problem may occur if some core system files have been removed or replaced. To resolve this problem run System File Checker (SFC) scan to identify missing system files. Then, replace these files. To run SFC, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK. 2. Type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER. For more information about System File Checker and Windows File Protection, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 222193 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222193/ ) Description of the Windows File Protection feature - - "sad-vista-user" wrote: > ,thos don't really work , in my cbs file i cant find a FILE_NOT_FOUND r > something like it . > please don't give up on me ... > > "Engel" wrote: > > > You receive a "0x80070002" or "0x80070003" error code after you download an > > update from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or from Windows Server > > Update Services: > > > > http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=910336 > > > > Also have a look here for MowGreen points > > > > http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&p=1&tid=71e307bb-635d-4307-abe4-0d3c6642bb39&mid=71e307bb-635d-4307-abe4-0d3c6642bb39 > > > > I hope this post is helpful. > > > > Let us know how it works ºut. > > - -- -- > > > > > > "sad-vista-user" wrote: > > > > > i've been trying to install updates KB938194 and KB938979 > > > for a few months now i think , and i've tried a lot of stuff suggested on > > > forums . > > > i try to install it but allways get a fail with error core 80070002 , i > > > think i even tried all things windows itself suggested for that error code , > > > which didnt help . sow now i am really desperate ... as this are 2 verry > > > necessary updates . > > > PLS HELP me !
