lifechat lx 3000 headset not working with other apps

Window 7 64bit LX 3000 usb headset (age is over 5+ years)HP computer desktop with pentuim something like that and it is upgraded to w7 from vista ok so far this LX 3000 is working for an app for TeamSpeak and i am guessing will work for other apps such as skype and messeging apps but it will not work with sound to play music or movies

i can not get it to play internet radio such as pandora through the browserand i can not get it to work with Spotify which is a stand alone online radio app and i can not get it to work with Window Media Player (WMP)and i have downloaded the life chat software from microsoft but still no go and i have checked all available sounds and also from control panel as well and i hope this is not a setting that it will cut off other apps but if so i like to be able to listen to music while i use chat app such at TeamSpeak

so i need to get this to work on multiple apps
