My windows media player has apparently disappeared.

When I try to open it, nothing happens. It is not listed among the programs available for uninstalling. My music files are present but not playable. i run Vista home Prem. SV Pac 2. Will not open wmp files received by e mail either. Is there a work around?

I cannot find the program on the MS web site to try to reinstall it. i found that i'm supposed to have &quotinstalled&quot wmp version 11.0.6002.18311 because when i tried to resolve the problem by installing an &quotupdate&quot, i could not install it as it was an &quotolder

version&quot than the one it found i had installed already. Don't know where to turn at this point.
