Please help me if anyone can. I received this code when trying to use

automatic updates on Windows xp. I followed some resolutions but nothing

worked. Can anyone help with this error code?

Turn off real-time scanning by your antivirus program, download the updates

from the Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site, but

do not install the updates. After you download the update files, turn on

real-time scanning by your antivirus program. Use your antivirus program to

scan the update file for any potential virus. After your antivirus program

has scanned and verified the update files, you can then install the updates.

Thank you. I have been working on this problem for a week. It turns out spy

bot search and destroy was the cause. Thanks again. Jack

Thank you very much for all the responses I received! Thank you RobertMK.

This resolved the problem. It was my spybot.
