Office 2003 Service Pack 3

This downloaded yesterday and now I can not send or receive email via

Microsoft Office Outlook. I CAN receive them through Outlook Express so

obviously it is not an ISP issue but something to do with the Service Pack 3

update. Anyone got any idea what I can do. I went to control panel and

tried to uninstal it and was told that I COULD NOT uninstall this update !!!

I had the same problem starting Friday afternoon after I installed Office

SP3. With the help of my ISP I also found that Outlook Express worked fine. I

went to the control panel and used the "repair/reinstall" function for

Outlook (as you said, SP3 cannot be removed by itself). That, after some

re-entering of option settings, appeared to be the thing that solved the

problem It works fine now.

Vicky,

Have you checked the configurations of Outlook especially ISP details,

username and passwords? SP3 *might* have changed this and it is a good

idea to double check this with Outlook Express which you say still

works. Just do a copy and paste to make sure everything is correct.

Hope this helps.

Microsoft employees generally do not read these newsgroups as they are not

official Microsoft support channels. On occasion, a Microsoft employee

might post here, but they're courtesy posts only. No commitments to be

here.

Yup tried all that and all the information is correct.

I actually emailed the support group and did not expect them to reply to a

post on this board but have not had a response to this. I will email them

again.
