Useless microsoft trouble shooting tools and suggestion and update do not work for unidentifible device drivers.

How can a person solve there windows 10 upgrade issue with the error message does not relate to the trouble shooting guide Microsoft has posted more or less identify device drivers that is not listed in the manufactures specifications,

 

 

this error message 0xc1900101 0x40017 is related to SMS/ MMS device drivers which is a Microsoft Networking Messaging Services has nothing to do with the mother board device drivers they are virtual drives installed by Microsoft software to communicate with existing Bluetooth, or Network card.

 

 

If SMS/ MMS device drivers are causing error message 0xc1900101 0x40017 then Microsoft should be offering better knowledge base to fixing the issue and where to get the drivers to install manually as they are not provided by motherboard manufacture.

 

 

 

I read countless of recommend fixes by Microsoft which is usually this **** explanation that never solves anything's.

 

 

Please follow the steps to run hardware troubleshooter on the computer and check if that helps you:

 

 

a) Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.

 

b) Click on Troubleshooting.

 

c) Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.

 

d) Click on Hardware and Devices option.

 

e) Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

 

 

As a work around, I would suggest you to Update the device driver from the device manager, restart the computer and check if thet helps you.
