Same Update Installation Problem on 2 different Computers within 2 days of each other.

We own an Levono and a HP Pavillion laptop. 2 days ago, the Leveno installed updates, and now freezes when it goes into Windows 10, showing the recycle bin in the upper left hand corner, but nothing happens when I press it.

 

i. The bottom left has the start menu, the search menu, and the task view icons but nothing happens when I press any of the buttons. WIFI, speaker,action center to not respond either. After spending a day trying to fix it, I finally managed to reinstall the factory setting, getting windows 10 to work, but losing all other stuff.

 

 

Thinking it was an isolated incident, I let my HP pavilion laptop reinstall updates this evening, and the same exact thing happened to my HP Pavillion. I do not want to go the same hassles. Suggestions will be appreciated.
