Acer V5 471P Trackpad Stops Working Intermittently (Win10 x64 Ver. 1803)

Please help.

 

 

I fix it, it works. Stops working say after a few days to a week. I reinstall the drivers and sometimes it comes back and sometimes it doesn't.

 

 

I've fixed this three times now but what is causing the device to stop working?

 

 

Up-to-date drivers, ELAN, Fn F7 does not kick it into working when it fails.

 

 

Could it be power settings, a service failing? I cannot for the life of me pinpoint the cause of the failure and it is driving me crazy. I cannot find a search online with my problem, only fails after Windows 10 upgrades. I CANNOT work out why it randomly stops working and then I have to fix it and eventually I get it working. Unless this is a hardware issue and when I think reinstalling the drivers is fixing it, it's in fact a fluke.

 

 

Has anybody else experienced this issue or can someone with more technical knowledge please advise on every single dependency of the ELAN smartpad and services.
