Guest Illán Riestra Nava Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 So a couple of days ago I turn on my laptop and a notification informs me that there's an almost full drive, which was unlikely because the day before my only drive had 400gb left. So I click on the notification and I discover it is speaking of a drive I had never seen before (because it was never there). It was called ESP (D:) and i read on the internet that that was a partitions W10 needs for booting. I thought it was a bug and it would disappear next time I turned on the pc (as the time "control panel" appeared on mi desktop), but didn't. Its name changed instead, being called "local disk" now. This makes me wonder if it is still being used for booting w10 or if it is a bug or what. I had an update these days but i don't remember if that drive appeared before or after updating. Also, its size is 450mb. Not a big deal but it is kinda anoying seing a pop up notification telling me about a drive I cannot touch because it's necessary for w10 to work. Any ideas of how to solve this? Continue reading... Quote
