File History - Missing Files?

I'm running Win10 Pro x64 and just started using File History.

 

 

After it made its first backup I looked at the Properties of the backup's data set and the source.

 

 

The backup had:

 

108 less files

 

56,481 less Gb

 

5,210 less folders

 

 

Is there an explanation? The difference in Gb may be due to a compression algorithm (?), but otherwise …. The difference in files could be hidden system files which are being included in the source properties. The difference in folders is a mystery.

 

 

FYI, I do not have any file types excluded. The backup was strictly limited to my data drive, so the system was not included.

 

 

Thoughts?
