Guest Donna Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I am not a computer whiz by any means. I took all my disks into work and showed them to our comp. tech. He told me to install a certain audio one and I did. My speakers now have the dialing sounds when I'm dialing up. It beeps when my CallWave has an incoming call, but I can't hear anyone. I did receive an email that played sound through the whole thing. I'm really puzzled now. Why would it play from an email, but I can't hear any other music or voices? I receive error messages like....device is being used by another device, or something like that. Also, I think it said that something needs to be reconfigured. Oh Yeah!!!! I have been into all types of windows with troubleshooting and just everywhere else on my own. I really need someone that knows their stuff to tell me it is just a simple download. Thank you so very. With the information you have given - any help would be guessing. I can tell you that you need the latest drivers for your hardware (particularly sound and modem) and you need the latest version (patched) of whatever software you are attempting to use doing whatever you are attempting to do. Beyond that - you haven't told enough for anyone to help you with specifics. I can guess at what you are trying to do, I can guess at what operating system you are running and what patches you have installed, I can guess at what all software is installed on your system and what hardware/hardware drivers you have installed and I can guess with those guess what is wrong - but I would likely be off. -) Operating System? Patch level? Latest hardware drivers downloaded from the manufacturer of said hardware's web page installed? Latest revision of any software you are experiencing trouble with installed?
