I just installed the following updates (listed below) and upon rebooting - my

screen resolution says I am at 1024*768 but really I am at 800*600 and all

of my graphics are extremely pixelated !!!

What can I do? I can't seem to find the update in my add/remove programs so

I can't get rid of it. I am lost.

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB936557)

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - July 2007 (KB890830)

Update for Windows XP (KB936357)

Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB936507)

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1

(KB928366)

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365)

Security Update for Windows XP (KB939373)

The monitor is a Dell 1704FPT Digital on the Radeon x300 SE card w/ 128M

HyperMem

Thanks!

Chris

Did you try to go to your display and change the screen size back ? It might

of thrown the resolution off ? And how did you download the Security Update

for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1

(KB928366) I keep trying and its failing each time on me , and the yellow

shield wont go away :(

Rebelgirl,

Look down at the topic titled Re: KB928365 and KB928366 PROBLEMS -

https://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&cat=en_US_56d1dd45-de9e-4fc5-9bc1-2d1d0de6daee&lang=en&cr=US&mid=df4da163-db34-4305-aae2-383cd7db3fc5

- and you will see where George has outlined the necessary steps for fixing

the problems. You will also see where I posed the question as to whether or

not we need .NET and the newer versions 2.0 and 3.0.
